SCOOTER TOURS MAKE
GREAT GIFTS!

What our past riders say...

My husband and I loved the scooter tour! Jessica was an amazing guide and trainer, she was enthusiastic and helpful with instructions and local information. We both rode the single scooters and that's the way to do it! So fun.The only thing to note is we went on what was called "covered bridge tour" and we only went to one covered bridge lol so I would call in a country roads tour instead! We went to an Amish property where we sat with the homeowner and asked her questions about the Amish way of life which was very interesting and a highlight! We did not tour a farm at all though.Do it! So fun making memories like this!

We have done the country roads excursion 3 times over the last 4 years and each time has been a great day! The first time we went my son was almost 6, he was a little nervous but once we did a spin around the parking lot in the scoot coupe he was fine! We stopped at several (I think 5!) great locations with some delicious treats. The second time we went, my husband drove a single scooter and son and I in a coupe, another great day, the ice cream stop being my son's fav. This last time I went with a friend and my son again! We all had a fun day enjoying the scenery. Two of the stops were repeats from the year prior, which we totally understand is going to happen and we still had a good time! We love the goat farm, their cheese is delicious! I have a feeling we will be back again because it's just a really fun way to spend the day as a family exploring the countryside.

Our family took a tour on 08/27/24. It wasn't our first time, but it was still incredibly enjoyable.Aside from the actual physical enjoyment, the fun scooters, the beautiful Amish landscape that we experienced - more so was the tour guide, Nancy. She was seasoned and knowledgeable. She was pleasant and patient. Most importantly though, she was a woman of Faith (not ours, btw) who proudly wore it on her sleeve. Our stop at a local Amish family and the warm, personal conversation with their teenage daughter was delightful.Several points during our tour we had valuable "off-topic"conversations, all were respectful and enjoyable.Nancy also enjoyed one of our groups' gymnastic abilities.🤣😜It was a really hot day, but Nancy made it a cool time.👍🙏

I grew up near Lancaster county, I've been married for several years and this time when returning to the area to visit my parents with my wife, I wanted to take one day out of our trip to show my wife some of Pennsylvania's more unique features. What better place to start than Amish Country? The horse drawn carriage tours come to mind first of course, but the carriage tours couldn't quite cover the amount of ground I was hoping to in the amount of time we had to tour the countryside. We came across the scoot coupe tours on a YouTube video and both agreed that it seemed like a fun and unique way to tour-all while still getting the smells and sounds you would miss in a closed cabin car.I invited my parents to join our reservation and they did. Due to weight restrictions this separated my wife and I, but no big deal- the weight information was clearly posted throughout the booking process. My parents are both in their 70s and experienced some difficulty in getting out of the scoot coupes, but it was never a major dilemma. It was a warm day, in the upper 80s, and the speed of the scoot coupes helped dry you off after each stop in a refreshing way a horse and carriage never could have.In all, I really couldn't have been more pleased with our tour or our tour guide- Tori.A note- the tour we took lists on the website as leaving from and returning to bird-in-hand. After booking, the location lists as Lancaster. The tour does not leave from, return to, or pass through bird-in-hand. This was apparently a feature of the tour last year- 2023. This is noteworthy if bird-in-hand is your reason for booking the tour, but the tour was excellent regardless.

We had an awesome day with guide Brian. Basically it was just him and us so we had personal attention all day. Visited a goat farm, mini horses, puppies, covered many miles over 2.5 hours. My wife was a bit unstable on the scooter at first but guide Brian made her feel comfortable. Get the individual scooter, it's quite the blast. Great job Brian and Strasburg Scooters...recommend!

You will be outside for about 2 hours, so pack accordingly. Felt safe the entire ride. Opposing traffic was never a concern. Staff is all friendly and helpful. Would return for a different type of tour in the future.

My husband and I took the covered bridges tour and had a fabulous time! Our tour guide was wonderful - got us up to speed and feeling comfortable and safe and was very friendly. I was afraid at first but got used to it and was fine after a few miles. We enjoyed our visit with the cows at the Amish farm and hearing about their farm life. The covered bridge was awesome - I had never seen one in person being from the West and they are so picturesque. Also just riding along the countryside was so enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend Strasburg Scooters!!

We took the 3 hour country road tour with Dave and it was fabulous! We stopped at three places along the way and the scenery was breathtaking. We rented the individual scooters which were a hoot of fun to ride! The red car double bikes are sharp but kinda loud. Dave was very informative and kind. It was the highlight of our vacation and totally worth the time and price. Thank you!

Went here with my job, we all had so much fun here. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable with the area and the equipment they use and rent. They made us feel comfortable before letting us take the scooters out on the road. We did have a large group but no one felt left out and we're willing to help with any questions or if we felt uneasy riding they we're willing to help. We did have one of our group have a bit of a fall off the scooter but the guide quickly came to their aid making sure they were ok to move on with the tour, one of the other staff was able to take her the rest of the way. If I have any advice I would bring a poncho or a change of clothes just in case you get cought in a rain storm. We did get have that happen and the staff got us safely to the closest rest area and our bus came to pick us up so we didn't have to drive the rest of the way. Overall this was one of the best experiences I've had on a work outing my wife and I will be returning for another drive through Amish country.

Had an amazing time on the country road tour. Just want to say that all the negative reviews are clearly people who don't listen to the staff or follow directions. They ask that you arrive early for helmet fitment, safety talks, and to familiarize yourself and practice driving the car before you hit the roads. They also have restrooms and drinks available before the trip. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable of the area. She helped us with everything, and went above and beyond the entire tour. My girlfriend originally planned the 3 hour trip the previous weekend, but unfortunately the weather didn't hold so we rescheduled for this weekend. Everyone was so nice and helpful, no problem with rescheduling or honestly no problems at all. Once we arrived we were helped right away and before we knew it we were on the road. Got to stop at a few local spots and shops along the route including a local goat farm, dairy, and some more cool spots. Our favorite part was meeting a local blacksmith and touring the shop. We got to watch him create some of his work. We ended up all talking for a long time and got to share stories. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. All of the people were truly amazing and kind. It felt like family everywhere we visited. The entire experience was great and we're already planning on bringing a bunch of friends and doing it again. Heads up we were really driving for 3 hours so make sure you're prepared. It was so much fun especially when we hit the back roads. Thank you guys see you again soon

Our experience exploring the enchanting backroads, farmlands, and covered bridges of Lancaster was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, every moment was filled with fun.Our guide Mark was exceptional, combining deep knowledge of the area with a passion for storytelling that made the journey all the more captivating. His enthusiasm was infectious, creating an atmosphere of genuine enjoyment and camaraderie amongst our group. The route took us through picturesque farmlands, where rolling hills and lush greenery provided a stunning backdrop to our adventure. The choice of covered bridges and an Amish farm stop added a charming touch, evoking a sense of nostalgia and a connection to Lancaster's rich history. We also stopped and had some of Lancaster's best ice cream at an Amish farm - now on our must return to list! The numerous stops along the way allowed us to appreciate the beauty of the landscape and capture memorable photos. Each location seemed carefully selected, offering unique perspectives and hidden gems that I wouldn't have discovered on my own.The scooters themselves were a blast to ride, providing a sense of freedom and a fun way to navigate the winding roads. The ease of operation made the tour accessible to all skill levels, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the experience - we ranged in age from 20 to 70s!Overall, this scooter tour was a delightful way to spend the afternoon. It combined the thrill of exploration with the tranquility of the countryside, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique, enjoyable, and picturesque adventure in the heart of Lancaster. Five stars well-deserved!

This was one of the most enjoyable things I’ve ever done in my life. It was easy to learn how to drive the scooter even though I was a bit nervous. The drive was easy and the breeze on that perfect sunny day made every moment so peaceful. I loved going to the individual farms and chatting with the people there and buying some local goods. Dave was a great tour guide. You MUST go on this tour!!

I in a word it was a “blast”. Riding through the back country roads through Amish country made my first time on a scooter stress free. The stops were well planned with ample opportunity to munch local treats and shop. Our guide did not hurry us and had a great sense of humor. The scooters were well maintained, easy to drive, and FUN!

SPEECHLESS! I have always wanted to go to Amish Country and finally had the opportunity to go. My friend is actually the one who found Strasburg Scooters, but I am soooo glad she did! I chose to do the tour in Bird in Hand with Dave (for no reason in particular at the time) but feel very thankful that’s the way it worked out! It ended up just being me on the tour, and Dave could have easily cancelled instead of wasting a tour on just me, but he didn’t and I had the time of my life. SUCH KINDNESS! He went above and beyond to make sure I had a memorable experience…and that I did! He was also beyond patient with me as I could not for the life of me figure out how to put the kickstand down (although I did finally conquer it at the *end* of the tour). We got a good laugh numerous times. There are no words to express the breathtaking views. Pictures truly don’t do it justice! Aside from the beautiful scenery, there are BUTTERFLIES FLYING AROUND YOU AS YOU DRIVE and you can see hundreds of caterpillars inching across the road. Dave would pull over on the side of the road to share facts with me, and he was very knowledgeable about the Amish community. Both the time and the money are 100% worth it, and they allow you to see Amish Country like you’ve never seen it before…even if this isn’t your first time! You get to ride the country backroads at a leisurely pace and take in everything as you go. You go from riding with fields stretching for miles and miles on each side of you to riding between cornstalks that tower high above your head! There’s another scooter tour in Strasburg. If I would have had the time (I was just here for the day) I would have done that one, too!Even if you don’t have much experience with scooters (I had only ridden one once before), it is totally doable and EXTREMELY WORTH IT! You get the hang of it very quickly and Dave also walks you through everything beforehand. You will absolutely NOT regret this tour! Thanks, Dave!

My husband and I took our four boys on the Bird In Hand tour, along with my my husband's cousin and spouse. We all had a wonderful time. In fact, it was the most fun I have had in a long time. Our 16 year old wasn't too thrilled at first but after he had some ice cream he really started to enjoy himself and he even laughed while going down some of the hills. That is a huge win in my book. The other three boys all have autism and they loved it. One of our twins hardly ever smiles and I saw him smiling a lot on this tour and that is high praise from him.Brian was an awesome guide and took the time to talk to all of the tour members and he kept things fun and upbeat.I'm hoping to get my father-in-law out with us on another tour on one of our next trips here because I know he would love it.I highly recommend Strasburg Scooters.

Booked a tour and had Brian as my tour guide for three hours of the most relaxing, informative and fun time I have had in quite some time. Brian was knowledgable of the area people and history and took us on many untraveled routes where we bearly saw any other traffic. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Fun time driving around Amish countryside. We did the covered bridge tour. Only one bridge in tour which was abt 40 mins out. Tour guide Brian was very knowledgeable and personable. If you go on a sunny day, wear sunscreen.

These scooter rides are highly recommended for people visiting Lancaster, especially those fairly new to the area. They are a fun way of cruising the rural back roads that one normally would not drive on if not living locally. The only caveat to these little excursions is that they seem to be centered around the Amish. This may be great for many who are not familiar withese hard working religious people. However, Amish can be found throughout the continental US, especially in Northwest Pa, where they are not well accepted and considered annoying, though the Amish were there well before those suburbanites moved in to the developed former farmlands. There is more to Lancaster County than the Amish, however this particular tour focused on visiting local small family owned Amish retail establishments with what appeared to be the intent to get people to make purchases from them. While my wife saw this as Amish trying to capitalize on tourists, I was very pleased to discover these places that I never knew existed despite the many trips to Lancaster over the years. We were the last tour of the day and in fact were the only ones, so we got a personalized tour. We were informed that speeds would be low at about 30mph, but thankfully we reached speeds close to 50 at times, making it a little thrilling. Exploring the back roads was a lot of fun, and what was also pleasant was the smiling faces of the Amish young people who wave to you emphatically as you pas them. A group of what looked like Mennonite kids yelled for us to hit the horn. The tour takes a couple of hors that go by pretty quick. Our tour guide, I believe her name was Jessica, was fantastic and very pleasant despite being disappointed that we not only showed up late, but did not notice she tried to contact us about starting the tour early to end early, which we would have done.I recommend this tour, but when you go, take a lot of cash as some of the places you visit don't take cash and you WILL want to purchase something. It is also customary to tip the tour guide as well. One little Amish market has an ATM but you will be charged a fee at the machine and probably by your bank as well. After your scooter ride, if not full from your sweets and ice cream you bought, go across the street to the Bird in Hand restaurant and stuff yourself sick.

The Strasburg Scooter tour of Lancaster was excellent! The views of the rolling hills and farms from my moped were beautiful. I enjoyed all of the Amish owned stops along the way, 4 total shops (soft pretzels, quilts, ice cream, and popcorn). We spent 3 hours enjoying the sites and stores. I deducted one star because of their disregard for wearing masks when closer than six feet; though, it does seem that this area in general is not concerned about COVID.

We will provide every operator with training prior to the tour. We focus on balance, throttle, and brakes. You don’t have to have ever driven (or ridden) on a scooter before, but booking a two-wheel scooter is strongly discouraged for guests that have never ridden a 2-wheel bicycle.
